استضافت سفارة الهند في بيروت ندوة بعنوان “تعزيز السياحة وفرص الأعمال بين الهند ولبنان”، يوم الأربعاء 19 تشرين الثاني 2025، في فندق فينيسيا، بيروت. وقد شرّفت الندوة وزيرة الشباب والرياضة في لبنان الدكتورة نورا بيرقداريان، والنائب نعمة افرام. كما حضر الندوة عدد من كبار المسؤولين في التجارة والأعمال وقطاع السفر والسياحة، فضلًا عن ممثلين عن شركات الطيران الدولية في لبنان وإعلاميين وأبناء الجالية الهندية.
أدار سفير الهند في لبنان محمد نور الرحمن شيخ، حلقة نقاش سلّط فيها الضوء على الجمال المذهل والتنوع الثقافي الذي يمكن للسياح تجربته في كافة أنحاء الهند، بالإضافة إلى القطاع التجاري القوي ومتسارع النمو في البلد. كما أكّد السفير على مكانة الهند كواحدة من أسرع الاقتصادات الرئيسية نموًا في العالم، حيث توفر فرصًا هائلة في قطاعات مثل التكنولوجيا والأدوية والزراعة والطاقة المتجددة والتصنيع والخدمات. وأضاف أنه نظرًا لتزايد عدد السياح ورجال الأعمال المسافرين من لبنان والهند إلى كِلا البلدين، تُبذل جهود لاستئناف الرحلات الجوية المباشرة بين الهند ولبنان.
وأبرزت الوزيرة بيرقداريان الروابط الثقافية العميقة بين الهند ولبنان، مشيرةً إلى ثراء تراث البلدين وإمكانية تعزيز التعاون في مجالات مشاركة الشباب والرياضة. كما أكّدت على أهمية دمج ممارسات مختلفة كاليوغا، في منظومة الرياضة والصحة في لبنان.
وشارك النائب فرام رؤىً مستمدة من تجربته الشخصية في الهند، مشددًا على الفرص الهائلة المتاحة لشراكات الأعمال والتعاون التكنولوجي. كما أشاد بالاقتصاد الديناميكي للهند وأهميته لطموحات القطاع الخاص في لبنان. أمّا مستشارة وممثلة وزير الزراعة الدكتور نزار هاني السيدة سوسن أبو فخر الدين، فركّزت بدورها على التبادلات الزراعية القوية بين البلدين، مشيرةً إلى التداول بين لبنان والهند لبضائع هائلة من المنتجات الزراعية التي تتراوح بين المبيدات الحشرية والسلع الغذائية. وأكدت على الإمكانات الواعدة لمزيد من الاستثمار والتعاون في مجال الأعمال الزراعية.
ومن جهتها، سلّطت المديرة العامة ورئيسة مجلس إدارة “تلفزيون لبنان” الدكتورة أليسار نداف، الضوء على فرص التعاون الإعلامي، بما في ذلك بث محتوى بوليوود وإنتاجات ما وراء الكواليس والبرامج الثقافية الهندية في لبنان.
ومن ناحية أخرى، عرض رئيس جمعية وكلاء السفر والسياحة في لبنان (ATTAL) السيد جان عبود، آفاق الترويج للبنان كوجهة جاذبة للسياح الهنود. وأكّد على أهمية استئناف الرحلات الجوية المباشرة بين البلدين لتعزيز السياحة والتبادل الاقتصادي.
كما شاركت المحامية البارزة ومالكة فندق “بالميرا” التاريخي السيدة ريما الحسيني، وجهة نظرها حول الإمكانات الثقافية والتجارية التي تربط البلدين. أما نائب رئيس شركة بنتا السيد ربيع عبد المسيح، فتحدث عن تعاون الشركة الناجح مع الشركات الطبية الرائدة في الهند، وأشاد بالشراكة القوية التي دعمت لبنان خلال جائحة كوفيد-19 والأزمة المالية.
وتضمن الحدث عرضين تقديميين من وزارة السياحة واتحاد منظمات التصدير الهندية (FIEO)، ووزارة التجارة في الهند، لإبراز أهمية السياحة وفرص الأعمال في الهند.
أمّا بالنسبة للعروض الثقافية في هذا الحدث، فقد قدمت السيدة ماريا مطر والسيد كمال كومار أغنية بوليوود آسرة “Ek Haseena Thi, Ek Deewana Tha”، وهي لحن خالد معروف بعمقه العاطفي وسحره الفني. كما قدم السيد دانيال بلابان، وهو موسيقي لبناني، عرضًا ساحرًا على آلة هندية تسمى الشهناي التي عكست التنوع الفني والروح الثقافية النابضة بالحياة في الهند. واختتم الحدث بحفل عشاء.
“The Promotion of Tourism & Business Opportunities between India and Lebanon” by Embassy of India in Beirut
The Embassy of India in Beirut hosted a seminar on “The Promotion of Tourism & Business Opportunities between India and Lebanon”, on Wednesday 19 November 2025 at Phoenicia Hotel, Beirut. The event was graced by the Minister of Youth and Sports in Lebanon Dr. Nora Bayrakdarian, and the Member of Parliament Mr. Neemat Frem. Many senior officials, prominent members of the business community, travel and tourism sector, representatives of international airlines in Lebanon, media persons and members of Indian diaspora also attended the event.
The Ambassador of India to Lebanon, Muhammad Noor Rahman Sheikh, moderated a panel discussion and in his remarks, highlighted not only the enormous beauty and cultural diversity that tourists can experience across India, but also the strong and rapidly expanding business landscape of the country. The Ambassador emphasized India’s position as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economy, offering vast opportunities in sectors such as technology, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, and services. He added that due to the increased number of tourists and businessmen travelling from Lebanon and India to both countries, efforts are underway to resume direct flights between India and Lebanon.
The Minister Bayrakdarian highlighted the deep cultural ties between India and Lebanon, noting the richness of both nations’ heritage and the potential for greater collaboration in the fields of youth engagement and sports. She also emphasized the importance of integrating practices such as yoga, into Lebanon’s sports and wellness ecosystem.
The Member of Parliament Frem shared insights from his personal experience in India, underscoring the vast opportunities available for business partnerships and technological cooperation. He commended India’s dynamic economic landscape and its relevance to Lebanon’s private-sector ambitions.
The Adviser and Representative of Minister of Agriculture Dr. Nizar Hani, Ms. Sawsan Abou Fakhreddin focused on the strong Lebanese-Indian agricultural exchanges, noting that substantial volumes of agricultural products—from pesticides to food commodities—are traded between Lebanon and India. She stressed the promising potential for further investment and agribusiness cooperation.
The Chairwoman and CEO of Télé Liban Dr. Alissar Naddaf highlighted the opportunities for media collaboration, including broadcasting Bollywood content, behind-the-scenes productions, and Indian cultural programs in Lebanon.
The President of the Association of Travel and Tourist Agents in Lebanon (ATTAL) Mr. Jean Abboud outlined prospects for promoting Lebanon as an attractive destination for Indian tourists. He underscored the importance of resuming direct flights between both countries to enhance tourism and economic exchange.
The prominent lawyer and Owner of the historic Palmyra Hotel Ms. Rima Husseini also shared her perspective on the cultural and business potential linking the two nations.
The Vice President of BENTA Mr. Rabih Abdel Massih highlighted the company’s successful collaborations with leading medical firms in India, and praised the strong partnership that supported Lebanon during the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial crisis.
The event also included two presentations by the Ministry of Tourism and Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), and the Ministry of Commerce in India, highlighting tourism and business opportunities in India.
As for the cultural section in this event, Ms. Maria Matar and Mr. Kamal Kumar performed an enthralling Bollywood song “Ek Haseena Thi, Ek Deewana Tha”, a timeless melody known for its emotional depth and artistic charm. Mr. Daniel Balabane, a Lebanese musician, also presented a mesmerising performance on an Indian instrument called the Shehnai, which reflected the artistic diversity and vibrant cultural spirit of India.
